Wasn’t it easier for Smyth Research to develop a device that would provide only optical/coax digital output for 2-channel stereo SVS-processed headphone output? In other words, not a complete system as Realiser A16, but a processor with optical/coax output to an external DAC and headphone amp.
As Smyth Research used the Stax 2170, which required an external amplifier, for their own internal use in conjunction with Realisers A8 and A16, why not an approach without the internal built-in DAC and amp?

On the other hand :
in February 2020 : no. 161 to +- 179 in 29 days ; more if you add no.180 to no. 185 + 1 from French importer
in March 2020 : no. 186 to 200...in 5 days
I know I am not good at math...but something is definitely eluding me unless they split the work between them. Each of the team members receiving a different set of numbers explaining why a number 200 might receive the A16 before 187 for example.
