SMSL D300 Decoder ROHM BD34301EKV Bluetooth 5.0 DAC

Anyone here had a chance to compare this to other similarly priced dacs and/or to any r2r multibit offerings considering it's marketed as "analog sounding".
The R2R products on the market should not be similarly priced. With the shortage of akm chips right now, this is a great value for money. The sound is more analog, somewhat similar to a vinyl disc. And will have 10% discount on 328.

The discount was announced from Mars 28 to April 1 and after seriously comparing D1SE and this D300 I was about to buy today morning April, 1 but the 10% ended one day before their promise - I am very angry!

Try aliexpress vendors, sale should be going on with extra coupons.
That's finito as it is already April 2 in China..... hifi-express store in Europa announced that the promotion will run between 28 Mars and 1 April but the promotion ended March 31, one day earlier than what Mandy announced below.

I am so extremely ANGRY that I am not able to enjoy music at the moment. I seriously compared three DACs on their store and decided to hit the order button on the last day, which is today April 1...

Well Mandy sorted it out and I could buy a D1SE from her. D300 is indeed a very interesting DAC chip from Kyoto じゃっぱり日本製 Japan married to a Chinese from Shenzhen and the result is an R2R with a Japanese analog heart for those on a strict budget. It should sound like Japanese flutes and drums as intended by the artists and as heard during festivals in Kyoto :). I was agonizing over whether I should buy both DAC a D1SE and a D300 and I almost did. This DAC will gain cult status and a must-have, and I am sure there will be more of this sort of product based on such an analog-sounding chip.

The sound of the D300 is completely different from the M500, it is more analog, like listening to a vinyl disc
Is it? I have been wondering, since I am a fan of AKM.chip though a proud owner of an M500

Yes, the D300 is hot sale in Japan. This chip is a warmer sound

The BD34301EKV DAC chip, developed as part of ROHM’s high-grade MUS-ICT™ series representing the pinnacle of audio ICs, emphasizes ‘spatial reverberation’, ‘quietness’, and ‘dynamic range’ – qualities important for reproducing classical music. Original sound quality design technology makes it possible to successfully reproduce the target sound quality by incorporating a circuit in the signal processing block to check for audio quality. At the same time, class-leading low noise and distortion (130dB SN ratio, -115dB THD+N) provide the high performance demanded by high fidelity audio equipment. At last, the customizable digital filter – a key function of the digital signal processing circuit – supports the creation of the ideal sound sought by audio equipment manufacturers.
