Shipment confirmed

The lead time was actually less than 2 weeks!
Houston -> the Netherlands should take about 3 days for UPS. Would be nice to welcome these in the weekend!
Delivered today. From order to product-in-greedy-hand: 13 days.
Very first impressions: quite nice! Good comfort (short term), Lovely cups, breathes DIY but still classy. Need a powerful amp.

Merci.

For those outside the US: These are commercial products so import fees do apply (about 25% in my case :frowning2: ).
I'm feeding these now from an Audio-GD Master 19 which is powerful enough it seems.
I'm not going to share my feelings about the sound just yet, want to have some more time to do a proper analysis. I do think they have the potential to be quite favourable for a lot of people (me including).

I don't know where to share this but after I got my pair , I found it to be one of the most basic looking pair I saw
also if you guy remember around the end of October (aka at the end of backing period) the USD is really strong compare to at the end of the project when he put the Starry Night on sale at $539

what I'm going to say is I end up paid more cash as a backer in October than be able to choose whatever cup I like in January. I know it's no one fault but I still can't get this over my head lol

other than that I think this has too less clamping force but I will try changing them with audeze headband (I think it will improve on that)

Yeah, that always sucks when price change happens (obviously no one has complete control over it). 1 example I remember from recent news was the Tesla cars. Like there was some people that a new Tesla car and the price drop like $10,000 the next day. Not the same example, since yours is like USD to your currency, but its almost similar.

A lot of people's main complaint on SJY Audio Starry Night headphone is mostly the comfort and how hard they are to drive. Sound-wise, everyone seems to be happy so far. I was planning to get these headphones, but there is a rumor of a new SJY Audio Open Back headphone in the works right now. Don't know if it will be next year, 2 years from now, or never. If the release takes too long, I might pick up a Starry Night. Won't have that financial option until maybe November.

Comfort suppposedly being a problem really surprises me, the only negative i could see in this regard is that clamp may be to weak for some people's taste.

I've been wearing these for the last 3 hours strait. Comfort is good even for longer session. I prefer the comfort of these over (for example) the Z1R.
I dialled in some additional bass and these remind me a lot of the SASH très but in closed back form. It's just a good headphone which gives the bigger manufacturers something to think about.

My biggest issue with this headphone is the headband. The mechanism has a life of it's own and it's nothing near a well made headband (imo).
I just ordered a suspension strap headband, which I hope fixes the issues I have with this otherwise excellent headphone!

Here is the Starry-Franken-Night

I used (temporarily) the headband of a vintage headphone, swapped the pads to Dekoni TH-900 sheepskin pads (less sweaty) and am using a 16core balanced OCC cable

Not the best looking monster I ever created but it does improve on the overall comfort for me. No more auto-clicking headband!
Not convinced about the pads. Have the feeling the Dekoni pads are a bit more treble but I do prefer sheepskin over pleather for longer listening sessions.
Getting a pair of these to swap to when they arrive
