Shure SE846 Impressions Thread

They had a promotion going with some certain IEMs, for example with Meze Advar, Westone Mach 60, Symphonium Meteor/Crimson, these are still up online. I would presume Meteor could be to your liking based on what I read about them and what I know about the Shure SE846. I haven't heard any of these, so I would recommend reading up on some reviews on these.
Thank you.
Oh and there is also a 64 Audio Bundle with Duo, Trio and Fourté. Some of these 64 Audio IEMs are really good. Maybe the U4s would be a good match as well.
I was just reading into the U4s. Thanks!

Otherwise there are many sport related TWS out now, most of them should sound better than the SE846.

What?! to say most sound better than the SE846 is not even close to be being an accurate statement.

Oh for sure, there are plenty of those adapters out there. The best (and most expensive) audiophile version would be the Ifi Go Pods.
But this is a less practical solution than a true TWS I would say, for working out.
Or a Chord Mojo2 with Poly if your more audiophile than gym bunny

The SE846 used to be my go-to. I’ve been out of the IEM game for a long time and was thinking about getting another pair since they have a wireless option now. I used to take my set to the gym and they took it like a champ. Is there any other wireless IEM that would work and sound better? Using AirPod Pro 2s right now and they’re terrible.
I connected my SE846 to the Shure TW2 Bluetooth adapter for gym use. Also use them for plane trips. Still have not found anything better for the gym or plane.

Hmm that’s unfortunate. I really like the look of them too lol. Is there a way to make any IEM wireless yet? Like a Sony Z1R?
I have been using my SE846 Gen1 with the TW2 adapters since they came out. Am very happy with the combination and bought a Gen 2 so I dont have to constantly swap cables/adapters to use different sources.

I decided on getting the SE846 and the TW2 for now. I’m not seeing anything as good for gym use and I used to enjoy swapping the filters which doesn’t seem to be a feature for any other IEM. Next purchase will be a Z1R for home.

Does anyone have experience using a DAP with the SE846? I'm thinking of getting the Sony WM1AM2. I like the idea of it running Android so I can do some music discovery on it as well. Any recommendations?

WM1AM2 here. SE846 was my former go-to with it. It was great. If you don't, get a balanced cable for extra goodness.
How snappy is the device? I was reading some complaints about it being kind of slow. What IEM are you using now?

It's responsive enough. I use flagship phones so it's slow relatively speaking, but totally usable.

I got Sennheiser IE900 as my go to know. SE846 are for gym and travel
I think we're on the same page with our likes. I just ordered the graphite SE846. Really cool how the bottom side is still transparent and I prefer the black cable since my old clear one discolored after a few years. I want a Z1R but I used to have the IE800 and really enjoyed it too. Reviews seem to say that the IE900 is a bit better overall but the Z1R has a better soundstage.

Please let us know how the sound quality is with their newest bluetooth vs wired. I have a BT2 but rarely use it because the sound quality is so much better wired. I own SE215, SE535, and SE846s. A week or 2 ago I saw used SE846s for $250 in classifieds and appeared in pics to be in good condition. You may want to wait and see if someone sells a set in good condition and save a bunch of money. You can get the extended/Red filter if you have Gen1s. Just have to be creative in what you say when ordering them. I do think the Red improves the sound so worth getting.

I prefer to buy new when it comes to IEMs. I don’t like others filth on them lol. Plus the warranty is nice. Yeah I’m definitely testing both and comparing them.
