you solve the problem through dispute on PayPal?
godspeed.

Now that you have me thinking about it...PayPal is a pain in the backside to deal with. Even when its their mistake. Ebay has taken care of multiple types of issues almost instantly, sometimes before I knew anything was wrong at all.

We can confirm they are counterfeit.

The seller has already agreed to the refund. He has until Monday to provide a return shipping label and refund the payment. If he doesn't, eBay will step in and yank the money out of his account. So, all in all a happy ending. Just really sucks having my money tied up for a month...

That is really unfortunate. But I am glad to hear you will get your money back.

I can't imagine the seller spending extra money to get these fakes returned back to him in Spain. If the seller does not supply a return shipping label, I will not have to return them. I will dissect one of them and take pictures of the internals...   Or should I say lack of internals.

Ebay may send you a label. As soon as they know what has transpired, they're going to shut down his account. In which case there will be no more contact between you and the seller.

EBay won't send a label. They want nothing to do with shipping. They are well aware of what transpired, as I have been on the phone with them 3 times today and sent them a great deal of evidence and correspondence from Shure. They told me that the seller must supply me with a return shipping label if he wants the item back. I get a full refund whether he supplies the label or not. They wont shut down his account, just put a PayPal hold on the funds to guarantee I get refunded. EBay couldn't care less about sellers selling counterfeit goods. The majority of buyers aren't even aware that they are sold fakes and eBay gets their cut of those sales. That's all they care about.

SE846 packed with the smallest dac/amp around:

Big sound out of a ridiculous footprint. The 0'3 ohms of Zout sure helps the Shure.

Could you please explain more ? How is the sound compare with sound from original 3.5 mm jack ?

Thank you so much.

I've tried switching back & forth between the built-in jack and the adapter on my iPhone 6, and the difference is subtle.  But since then I've switched to an iPhone 7 with the adapter, and I'm preferring the sound over my old iPhone 6.  Maybe it's psychological, though I think the lower impedance of the adapter makes a difference.

I've also used the adapter to drive my Focal Elear headphones, and was quite impressed.

If you have an iPhone or iPad with a lightning connector, buy the adaptor for $9 (with free UPS shipping) and give it a try.  It'll compete with DACs/amps that are ten times the cost and really is an impressive feat of engineering.

Economy of scale in action :) Apple had to engineer the adapter to be at least on the same level as the previous headphone jack output – would have been more difficult to drop the 3.5 mm jack otherwise.

I'm surprised the first time I hear about fake Se846.

I thought only the Sennheiser ie8/80 make fake.

How does it sound in comparison to the Chord Mojo? I'm interested if they come close to the sound quality.
