The cables used by Impact Audio can either be single strand or double strand to the MMCX connectors. The copper used are 1.7mm thick, which is nice, however you can also get them thinner and paracorded... all depends on the looks that you're going for. :)

My experience has been that Westone cables don't fit SE846 properly. They come loose & u can't get a tight fit.

That's true. I tried it and the Westone disconnected

What i have not tried (yet) it's a Shure cable into the Westone socket. I use the W30s at the gym where the extra length and sturdiness of the Shure cable might come in handy.

Shure isn´t using standard spec MMCX connectors. They are custom made with slight alterations. Same problem happens with Logitech and FiiO cables. It´s a shame as it makes getting a better cable a real chore (the stock one has the worst ergonomics on the market if you ask me).

Dhc standard mmcx connectors work like a charm.

Eidolic MMCX connectors which are pretty much the standard that aftermarket cable shops are using, work perfectly. You can find an MMCX cable online that works pretty much with your eyes closed.

Has anybody tried the white filter with Comply tips to compensate for the Comply's treble reduction?
