Slated to hit retail stores between late-October and early-November, I pre-ordered a pair today for a whopping JPY49,8000.  Paired with my NW-A867, this should be interesting.

Impressions? And if by any chance you've heard the normal SE535, any sonic differences?

I'm curious too!

There is good synergy between the SE535LTD-J and NW-A867.  I am currently using a modified Westone ES cable as the original cable's memory wire was difficult.
These are as Shure says, SE535 with added zing.  What I've observed so far are the original lows, mids, and detail, a slightly larger soundstage, and truly extended highs-the added highs are reproduced eloquently, but in balance.

Nice modded cable, any details on how that was done?

Also read from a review that the shell is metal, is this true?:

I had an extra ES cable sitting around for my SE530X6.  Found someone local to modify (MMCX connectors).  Parts included (cable cost separate) cost me JPY2,800.

The inner shell maybe, but the outer shell is definately plastic.

nice sharing ...

anyone know which one is better this 535 SE compare to UM3x, W4, or SM3s ?
I heard W4 is very comfort and sound stage is very good.

Currently I'm looking for those top tier IEMs, but still confuse which one I should take.
I only tried SM3s so far unfortunately... :frowning2:
I'm open if there are any others IEM that you consider better than those...

your suggestions are appreciated..

Thanks all
