Show us your vintage headphones!

Some Vintage Stax gear I recently obtained. Pretty much unaltered since they made them in the late 60's and early 70's and definitely in need of a good cleanup and some replacement parts (yes, there is supposed to be a leather-ish surface on those earpads. By the looks of it, that has disappeared a while ago).  However, they work as is and sound actually quite nice. The 'phones are the SR-X MK 2 while the amp is the SRA-3S. Sorry about the somewhat poor image quality. I do need a better camera. (and the date is incorrect also; should be 09/03/2014 and not 02/03/2014)

The lafayette is probably an SR-3 clone.

Probably somewhat rare, but I'm skeptical about how they know that it's in "excellent working condition" when they don't have the headphone paired with it for testing.

Here is a pair of Stanton XXI from the early 80's. Nice sleek design and check out the blue denim.

Another pair I've seen on eBay, but have not taken the bait on. I believe these are the Stanton version of the Pickering OA-7. The blue denim is pretty cool.

There's one on eBay now:

Different pads though, probably someone's DIY "improvement" job.

The sounds isn't the greatest. Fairly flat bass, but not bad. I'd say a good portable solution if it weren't for the 1/4" connector. But still cool looking and fun to have.

Are you sure it's no ortho? The cups look really thin.

No, it's not a planar.

It's also rare as hell...

Fostex T10
1st pic is my version of an egg crate for the ears, modded from Koss foams very comfortable but very leaky.
I decided to go more conventional with the AKG K240 ear pads.
Sounds great but anxious to hear how GREQ is fairing with his new pads.

Sadly they're still shipping over from China.
If they don't arrive before saturday, I won't be able to tell you for 3 weeks as I'm going on holiday!
