It's a mess at the moment because I'm testing out a lot of new gear. I've been wanting to clean it up all week, buy each time I go to the listening stadion, I end up spending all the time listening to music instead of getting it cleaned up
Next week I'll get it done...
Enjoy some great music out there
Wait, all this and still a sign in the background that you are a great husband?!? Impossible. Be honest, she left a long time ago, around the time you were buying the second Holo stack, right?

Yes, just got the HD600's, and they have made a great first impression
Definitely prefer them over the HD650, which did disappoint me overall, too much lower mids/upper bass for my taste. The HD600's are more "clean" and if I hook them up to my OTL amp, I get more warmth but to a more tasteful degree, IMO.
So happy with the purchase so far, but will give it a week or so more, before the HD650's will be for sale, just to be sure

It's a little funny cause I discovered the 600's the same way. My first Sennheiser was the 650 and I really didn't think they were all that. It was a while ago but I thought they just didn't sound coherent at all. I didn't have a tube amp back then and I've still thought about trying again. I have the lambskin ZMF pads on my 600 now and whenever I want to kick back and listen to some instrumental/acoustic music or vocal heavy tracks, they are head to beat. I still haven't found a better headphone (for the price) when listening to old Coldplay or Chris Isaak type music.

Yeah, they are great, so far, but I still need to put more hours on them to work out completely how I feel about them. I have Dekoni pads, that I did not enjoy on the 650's, but might give them a second chance on the 600's, and see how they fare.
