Won't the earcups of any headphone lean on the uprights. causing dents in the earpads?

At first glance you would think so but the rails are positioned just right to prevent that from occuring,

Perfect. Hats off to WooAudio then.
The newer stand that is made for the Stax O2's is made without much thought. Even though it is a beautiful design, it was not well thought out and puts a lot of pressure on the bottom of the pads and allows dust to fall on the stators at the top.

Here are some pics of my stands. Normaly the "snake" stand holds PX100 as well, but they were on my head when I took the pics.

good gosh people. turning into a head-fi-er literally means emptying your wallet! first it's the cans, then the amp, then the dacs, then soundcards, then the cables, etc. rinse & repeat. but noooo it doesn't stop there. you guys have to start a fancy stand thread which now makes me want to go and buy one too. lol. plz won't you think of my poor wallet! :p

Lad27, can you describe the floor stands? What are they? Where did you get the wooden knobs and how did you attach them to the stand?

K501 on wooden "glass plate" stand. (The laquer's a bit excessive, otherwise it'll be perfect.)

Modified KSC75 on the classic banana stand... (costs a whopping $2SGD)
