I believe that the XDUOO XD05 BAL has a 3.5mm socket that can act as both a coaxial or optical digital input. But those are uncommon.

Yeah, there are probably some technical difficulties in creating the socket that would do both, but what I meant it cant be said it is different system and not compatible.
It is very comaptible, but one is using light other electronic signal over copper wire. But if you tap coax socket to toslink socket in any receiver / transmitter it will work. Signal is the same standard.

I use UA2 connected to iphone.
Can UA5 be used on iphone like UA2?
Is a lightning cable included? Or can I use the lighning cable for UA2?

UA5 has same support of iOS as UA2. It will work with the same cable.

We do not offer iOS cable.

@Shanling

How many volume steps?

Output impedance (3.5 mm)?

Noise floor rating (3.5 mm)?

99 volume steps

Output specification Single-ended // Balanced

Output impedance 0.8Ω // 1.6Ω

Power 2.1V@32Ω // 2.6V@32Ω

Dynamic range 122 dB // 120 dB

Signal-to-noise 121dB // 116 dB

Channel separation 77dB // 110 dB

Slightly curious that SE measured better than Bal on dynamic range / SNR. If these numbers hold true - not the greatest I have seen on USB dongle but not too shabby either.

i don't like to add more device to maintain battery. i will skip this model. currently use ua2 and love it.

This devices battery is more a buffer they are saying, not something you need to keep topped-off and charged.

You can run it in USB power at all times if you wish.
