I have received my Shanling Ua5 and it is beautiful and sounds great. But I have one doubt, connecting it to my smartphone and a Hiby R3 Pro Saber, the volume control of the device is still active, and it influences the volume control of the Shanling UA5.

Do you know how to fix this? With other dongles like Hiby FC5, Luxury&Precision W2 or Cayin RU 6 it doesn't happen.

This depends on the transport device/app, most software that are dedicated for use with USB DACs have setting that will affect if changing volume on the phone will affect volume of the USB output.

Yes, I have configured the apps and transports to use only the volume of the usb dongle. Luxury&Precision W2, Cayin RU6, IFi Gryphon, Hiby FC5 do it, Shanling UA5 doesn't

Can you please tell me what exact app are you using? UA5 itself should have no impact on such setting in your app.

Its volume control should be independent from volume control of your phone.

I use UAPP on a Huawei P30, and a Hiby R3 Pro Saber as transport
