Shanling Q1 - Retro-Styled Portable Hi-Fi Music Player
Mar 16, 2020 at 9:44 PM Post #77 of 584
um how do I import playlist? I click on import playlist and it says File not found. Is there a specifc way or place I should put the Playlist Files?

You can get Advanced user manual for Q1: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1X6PHtRWeIwiekYbNfO9ZiQ1BpMi8W0qu
That can help you with lot of settings.
Swapping SD cards – aye a bit of a faff when you just want to pick one up as you’re heading out the door.

I’ve only got a 128GB card and will probably get another. Granted more faff to keep both updated with new file additions, but, I’d have 2 copies so have a sort of backup in case one SD card fails :relaxed:

First world problem and all that…

I know database system in MTouch is not ideal for quick swapping cards.

For people that are running on multiple cards, my best recommendations would be to stick with the folder browsing, then you can completely ignore any library scans.

Thanks, I've figured it out. I can't seem to create the playlist if the Main Folder has SUB-Folders in them. E.g from the main TOOL Folder that has 6 TOOLS Album folders inside. I have to go into the tools folder and make 6 playlist.

Also What is the largest Album Art size the player supports? or optimal.

We recommend to go with 500x500 and make sure you don't have progressive jpg. And if you want system to show them in album menu, have them all embedded into tag.

That 500x500 doesn't fill up the whole screen and that kinda bothers me. Do you happen to know what Size can Fills up the whole screen?

The screen resolution is 360 x 400.

The Q1 should scale the album art to fit the screen so it can handle a range of sizes. If it doesn't scale 500 x 500 to full screen on a 360 x 400 size screen then the player doesn't scale properly to fit the screen. My M0 had an issue where the black edge around the screen cut off part of the album art. When album art text was cutoff by the screen edge I would resize the album art and add a 20 pixel by 20 pixel black border around the album art. So the screen edge cut off the black art border but I could see the full album art on the screen. I had to remove the black border from the album art when I switched to my Fiio M7 which scales properly.

If you are facing such issue, it's not about the resolution, but there is something else wrong with your pictures.

Do you see this problem on all your files or only on some?

Hi @Shanling

Using the Q1 as a player, USB connection to a Mojo. USB mode set as USB and USB Audio Output set to fixed volume. When I move the track along by touching the slider bar, I’m getting a loud pop noise some times.

Also with gapless turned on a pop as the track changes.

I've rescaled the image to 500x500 & even 360 x 400 without progressive as well as embedded into tag.

The only time I get Full Screen is when the songs / tracks don't have any Album Art cover, The Q1 will use the default cover.

Please send me one of your files(both audio file and picture) to have a look at. Ideally over Google Drive and send me link in PM.

Hi,
My lock button feature does not seem to be working on any of the settings.I have the Buttons lock setting to on and no matter which of the 3 options i choose it makes no difference the buttons remain unlocked.

Any advice as need to know if this is a faulty player do others using the lock button have no issues?

Thanks.

Locking the buttons is a software feature, not hardware, so it is not a faulty player. Perhaps it helps to apply the latest firmware again or use the 'Reset settings' option.

The buttons are only locked when the screen is off.

I have my setting to 'Lock Buttons Only' and it works fine. Easiest way to turn it on is swipe down and toggle the locked icon (top row, second from the left).

This should be stated in the manual if your not farmiliar how these dap lock buttons work otherwise more people will think the same as me.

Also if the lock button is on and player is in your pocket it could easily become unlocked by catching the power button.

Thank you.

Hey, I just can't watch Your torment...

Please, set "double click to wake up" in the "system" settings - it will protect Your Q1 from being accidentally turned on.

Cheers and enjoy this one little Q1ller :)
