I agree with you. Normally i thought i want to sell my iBasso IT 07. But when i hear them with M8 there absolutely fantastic. At my first listening i think wooow thats a different Version of IT 07 ??

I use IBasso it07, hook x, Kinera Nanna, Xelento and sometimes Monarch Mk2. Actually the M8 sounds great with all of them but i like it slightly less with the Monarchs. They are bit too analytical.

Yes, I feel the same way. The M 8 is simply fantastic. Which of your IEMs are your favorites with the M8? I love the M8 more every day.

Hard to say, it sounds great with all of my iems. I just change them for a different flavours but the quality stays same for me.

At IT 07 there have now no more problem with the upper mids and the lower mids and also the higher mids sounded more with a fuller body. I like IT07 much more with M8 then with DX 300 or 320.

Szalayi is phenomenal...must burn it in tho. Scales amazing with gear and cables....

I dug my old unused b&o h6 headphones out of the cupboard to check them with the M8 just out of curiosity and damn!
A rather flat and grayish sounding headphones transformed into deep, spacious and detailed sounding phones with great, deep punchy bass.
And this is from the 3.5 output.
This M8 does some very special things.

If I recall correctly, the Shanling M8 uses Android 8. But @Shanling can confirm.

I believe it's not compatible. The app demands Android 9 or higher, while M8 is only Android 7.1.

Even when downloaded as a direct apk file, it refuses to be installed.

Immensely enjoying the M8. I honestly cant imagine myself changing the dap in the next 2-3 years. It has everything- dynamics, depth, staging, timbre, detail and most importantly musicallity and high level fun factor, still beying reference enough. All my iems and headphones sound great with it and i couldnt say this about my previous daps.
What more could someone want from portable?
There wasnt even one moment that the sound disappointed me or i got bored.
What i like about the stage is the fact that the M8 doesnt exaggerate with separation, it lets the music connect and just flow. But its still very very separated but its technicallities never jump out too much and cover the music itself. The stage is naturally very wide and open without any hearable tricks that can make me tired with time. Really great source, not only dap.

The bird landed today. Have only been in burn in mode for 4 hours. Just had a quick listen. It seems to be something special. Especially the musicality. mid range. Yes and the bass is very present. Maybe a bit muddy and slightly bloated. But that changes after the burn-in. But the first impression is very good. Very lively and rhythmic. Goes very well with the M8.
