Shanling M6 Player - New version with ESS DACs coming soon

You need to go into Apps menu in system settings. There you can uninstall apps, manage their data, permissions, etc.
Do you mean I should uninstall the Shanling app? I'm looking at the Shanling app info now, and I still can't see what you mean. I tried "Clear Data" and it looks like I deleted all the songs from the library and am having to re-do them, so I'm going to assume you didn't mean something quite so inconvenient?

Correct, clearing data of the app should get rid of any of the residual files.

Really? Mine does and the beep is really LOUD man!! Way too loud! I am running the latest Firmware.
Have looked and looked at settings, I see no way to decrease the beep volume (maybe I am missing it?).
From what I've experienced, only PowerAmp on the M6 made the beep sound. My second guess is that your earphones is the type with mic/media buttons which might cause the software to beep. Does this happen on all of your cans?

@Shanling:

It is created by Poweramp, adjustment is controlled by Settings > Headset/Bluetooth > Beep.

Edit: he answered it

I hope not to make things more confusing. Please remember that the Shandling music app has a settings menu. Poweramp has its own settings menu. And then the Amazon operating system has its own settings menu as well. Power amp may have its own beeping sound where as the Shanling app and the android operating system do not.

I want to connect the M6 to my desktop amp Drop THX 789 (as a DAC). So I need to go line-out from M6. My question is, as the THX 789 has balanced input, will I benefit in SQ if I will Invest in a more expensive cable "4.4mm to 2 x XLR balanced cable" than going the cheaper version of "3.5mm to 2 RCA cable" ? Thanks!

New firmware update V3.31 for Shanling M6

Few small fixes and system improvements.

Noticeable improvements, the M6 runs smoother and faster now, and this volume level indicator on the left top, looks great! Thanks! :)
If I may suggest something, could you please provide some basic information in the options, digital filters section? Just to inform what sound signature gives a chosen filter.

I have used the Amazon HD app on the M6 through several firmware updates. The app has always worked well. Even though I have 9000+ tunes on my M6, I usually go to the Amazon HD app. Millions of songs in HD with no hiccups or streaming problems.

Does anyone else experience some changes on the sound of m6 after the firmware update? Or is it just me?

@yorosello what changes do you mean specifically? Is it for better or for worse? I didn't notice any "aging" or decreasing in sound. I think @Shanling would commit a suicide doing something like this deliberately...
Better ofc 😆
