Shanling, still no MQA? It seems that almost all the competitors are adding it...
I vaguely recall it being mentioned that the M6 (and M6 Pro) would at some point get a newer version of Android. Is that still happening? Or - honest question - did I misunderstand that?
(Also, gapless playback would really be nice.)

As they say, there are no dumb questions, and I thank you for taking the time. At this point, I'd sprinkle goats' blood on the damned thing if I thought it would revive it. As it happens, having already tried two different cables and chargers to no avail, I took some advice from Shanling, above, on board, to wait a day, and also yours. Before I went to bed last night I used the provided data cable to plug it into a USB port in my PC. Instantly, the red LCD flickered on, went off, and there were signs of life. I left it overnight and it's now awake ("It's alive! Aliiiiiiiive!!") but I'm having to re-load the library. Mysteriously, the Shanling app had exactly one song on it, and not event he one I was playing on it last. I've now unplugged it from the USB and it's happily updating, and all looks hopeful.Might be a dumb question, but have you tried a different usb cable ?
Thanks -- mysteriously, this seems to have worked. I'm baffled but relieved. Any idea why it would do this? Thanks again! Please give it a day and then try to put it on charger again.

Okay, thanks. I did update to the most recent firmware when I got it, but I'm just more than happy I have it back. Thanks for your help. It's kind of glitch in charging system. Was more common on early firmware, but latest versions put a stop to it in almost all cases.
Yeah, the sound quality of the Shanling app is without a doubt the best of all the player apps I've tried on it. But it's also missing a lot of features. It's weird how I took gapless playback for granted... Probably my biggest criticism of what otherwise is a fantastic player.Hi Shanling,
Recently just got a M6, very pleased with the sound. Just a question on the included Shanling player though, every time it moves to the next track, there is a noticeable cut to the first few milliseconds of the song. I have tracks that start on 0:00 so it sounds really weird when the song starts off beat. Also, there is an audible click when skipping tracks as well. I downloaded other players on the M6 to check if it was a hardware issue but it was working well.
Is this something that we can expect a fix soon, and will there going to be a feature on the player anytime soon where you can have crossfade, gapless or fade out?
Likewise, I tried other players it but all of them fall short of the sound quality of the shanling player. Hope they'll address it soon
