Got a problem after last update.
With the function "Resume playback" on, when turn off the player in the evening, next day it starts from the first song in the list, not from the last played like it was before updating.

Will look into this, but so far wasn't able to replicate it on our units.

Btw, I'm liking the new update to the Shanling Music Player, but ofc there is still some problem that hasn't been sorted out. But is there any plan to bring the new update to the app on the play store?

Yes, should be available soon for the standalone app too.

Attention Feedback

Want to say thank you to Shanling Company and their team for the replacement of M6.
Even after the issue with delivery they provide me one of the best service i have ever had, much better then in the US!
So to pleasure i decided to buy m6 pro instead m11 pro

I am about to format an sd card for use with my m6 pro, what type of formatting should I choose?

We run our cards in exfat.

Hi, I am having a lot of issues with Amazon Music on my M6. The music would just stop playing in my headphones but the playback is not stopped in Amazon music. If I pause and play again, I have sound again in my headphones. I have restarted the DAP many times and it still does it fairly frequently (a few times per hour). Any advice?

Is there a manual for the Shanling Music App? I am having trouble populating playlists with songs. I create a playlist, then go to the folder view, go into the artist folder, select all album folders and press add to playlist only for the app to just deselect them all and go back to the album folder view without allowing me to pick the playlist I want.

Unfortunately it doesn't work for folders. In folder browsing you can add just files itself.

But you can add whole albums or artists from categories.

Is 25 seconds for the M6 to start up before it can be used normal for this device? That's how long it takes before it's ready for use and the "Android is starting" progress bar disappears from the screen. It also takes about 13 seconds to actually shut down.
Secondly, my unit takes 25 seconds to connect to the Wi-Fi router even when right next to it. Are those numbers normal?

Yes, these startup/shutdown times are normal. You are dealing with full Android system, so it takes longer than for example our simplified MTouch system.

25 seconds to connect to Wi-fi can sometimes happen.

Is there something wrong with the servers?
I've been trying to download the update on my M6 since last night and so far got 6% downloaded since the connection keeps cutting out - and it's not my wi-fi. Anyone else having issues? Server one keeps downloading at very slow speed until I get "network request failed" - which is the only thing I get from server 2.

I'll try to do a manual upgrade and see if that's any better...

Edit:

Where can I find the new firmware to install manually? The page Shanling linked above refers to a google drive from where to download the install packet, but I can't seem to find that. The driver download on the Shanling homepage is not the most recent version.

I just want to see what those new sorting options for folder view are and if it means I can now sort by track number instead of file name, bringing the M6 one step closer to being the best DAP there is. (Now, if we can gapless playback, it would be there.)

Took a couple of hours to download and install, and now the upgrade is done.

I do wonder who needed the option to sort their folder by SIZE and TIME though, and by nothing else. This is extremely disappointing. This needs a sort by track number, not SIZE and TIME.

Playing compilation or collaboration albums is always kind of a pain, since those can't be played properly in folder view. I have to navigate back to the main page, hit search and then play the album through search (navigating to a specific album in any of the other viewing options is way too fiddly).

So the M6 remains the best sounding player in its price segment, while the usability of the Shanling music app remains... Not that great. :/
At least it's just a useless upgrade and not something that effectively downgrades the player...
