Hello! The problem with "resume playback" is steel here. But i think it appears only in Prime mode.

Is there something wrong with the servers?
I've been trying to download the update on my M6 since last night and so far got 6% downloaded since the connection keeps cutting out - and it's not my wi-fi. Anyone else having issues? Server one keeps downloading at very slow speed until I get "network request failed" - which is the only thing I get from server 2.

I'll try to do a manual upgrade and see if that's any better...

Edit:

Where can I find the new firmware to install manually? The page Shanling linked above refers to a google drive from where to download the install packet, but I can't seem to find that. The driver download on the Shanling homepage is not the most recent version.

I just want to see what those new sorting options for folder view are and if it means I can now sort by track number instead of file name, bringing the M6 one step closer to being the best DAP there is. (Now, if we can gapless playback, it would be there.)

Sorry to hear you had issue with OTA update, will check with our IT.

For manual update, when you click on the " M6 International V3.4 " under Google drive line, that takes you to Google drive and from there you can download it.

And sorting, our folder browsing is completely independent from library scan, as such it doesn't work with track numbers at all.

What's everybody's experience with battery life on this DAP? I don't think the battery percentage readout is very accurate. Sometimes it drops 3% in the span of 10 minutes. Meanwhile, I'm seeing an average 7% charge loss per hour in Prime Mode.

Secondly, I noticed a weird issue when using Spotify. Namely, after listening to music through Spotify, if you start up Neutron, the M6 stops working. It gets a few stutters on the Neutron but then goes completely silent. Spotify still works correctly. It's like the sound chips get stuck on Spotify and can't switch to another player. I found a workaround for this: after Spotify, start up the Shanling Music App, play a track for a moment, then move on to Neutron and it should work correctly.

The battery life overall is pretty good, but highly dependent on what I'm using in terms of headphones / IEMs, balanced vs. single-ended, high-gain vs. low-gain, if I'm using planars or not basically. But the variation is terribly big tbh. Sometimes I get through 5% battery in an hour, sometimes in 90 minutes?

I can confirm that I do close Spotify (by pulling down the top bar and swiping the Spotify section to the right), but maybe I'm doing it wrong?
Is there any special way to shut down apps on the M6?

No, it's same way as on any other device. Best to check in Android multitask, if the Spotify is closed.

hi Shamling and fans.... just updated to 3.4; downloading was slow and stopped at times... after update noted that the EQ does not work with DSD (or DSF) files, it can be turned ON and OFF, edited, but makes no effect to the music.

DSD is processed natively on our Android players and unfortunately EQ is not available for it.

The M6 also have some problem in play some folders... for example in the album of the Europe it doesn't display the first song Final Countdown (the best) and in the Album Good Fellas it displays only 9 tracks but the album has more than 9 tracks... If I use neutron app in it all the songs will be displayed and payed. Sorry for my bad english. :wink:

Yeah, unfortunately the Shanling music app leaves a lot to be desired as far as basic functionality or .cue reading is concerned.

Normally translations are done by our international distributors. And as we nowadays miss Italian distributor, Italian is missing from M6.

Can you please send me one or two of these albums over PM to check? Thanks

Hi, i have some problems with Amazon Music HD... the sound stop but the time counter of the track goes on... i have to close and restart application so often. Anyone has the same problem? Thanks.
