Shanling M6 Player - New version with ESS DACs coming soon

Just to be clear, which version of M6, which firmware and which version of USB driver are you two running? Will try to recreate the issue.
USB DAC: Windows 10 21H2 OS Build 19044.1586, 32bit 384kHz audio output, this so far seems crashes the most often. But when I move to 32 bit 352.8kHz it runs fine so far
Bluetooth Issue: Android 12 on Samsung Galaxy S21, LDAC connection.

I would like to add a bunch of playlists for my M6 (non PRO) to use in the native Shanling app.
But I cannot find where the Shanling music app stores its playlists.

Anyone know where they are stored?

Appreciate...

Internal memory / shanlingapp/playlist.

Easiest is to create one playlist on the app, export it and then make sure your playlists follow the same structure and location.

Yo.. I just bought my M6 :frowning2:
It sounds great! Maybe you’ll enjoy how it sounds more. Many people prefer the original M6 over the 21 version for instance, although on paper the newer one is an upgrade.

I heard that the AKM chip sounds warmer than the ESS, that might be why people prefer the original M6. I'm actually curious how the original M6 sounds.

The M6 21 is still warm sounding, just not as warm as the original M6. The M6 21 has more in the output power department, though.

Hello,

Has anyone connected the current M6 21 via Usb C and seen what maximum sample rate it gives on Android and Apple devices?
I would be interested out of curiosity.

Also if it is online capable and the apps are available directly in the store I would be interested.

I have another question regarding Tidal.
Can you save your Tidal playlist on the card and listen offline or does it need a permanent connection to the smartphone or router?

Otherwise, it looks stable and could be what I'm looking for.
Shouldn't have any problems driving an Aeon R/T I suppose?

It can work as USB DAC with Android smartphone and it can do 768 kHz, given you have proper app to avoid Android resampling.
But I wouldn't recommend to use it in such way, as the M6 will start charging from your phone, really affecting its battery life.
It will not work as USB DAC with iOS.

You can install standard Play Store on the M6 21.

It's running normal Tidal app, with the same features as app on your phone. Our software team recommends to save offline playlists to internal memory.
