One question guys: does the new m6 support tidal mqa unfolding?

I believe fiio m11pro already support it a long time ago...
M6 21 supports MQA unfolding.

Pretty bad, I live in Mex and getting the unit to the dealer is very complicated. what about a mapping the double tap screen to perform different funcitons?
No plans for remapping such functions.

Hello Shanling...

Is it known that with the Shanling Music App on the M6, updating the music library, has problems with albums whose titles (or artist names or song names) contain high ascii characters?

After a full update, I had several albums for which I had to edit tags, to get them to insert properly into the database.

Cross-posted here.

@Shanling

With the release of the M6 21 and M6 Pro 21, would you be able to provide us with a summary of what to expect in terms of tuning?

From my research, you mentioned that, to your ears, the OG M6 tuning was closer to the M8. I agree that we’ll have to take this with a grain of salt as it depends on many factors from one’s ears to the IEMs/Headphones we use but...

Where does the M6 and Pro 21’s versions tuning fit?

M6 - “Warmer” than M6 Pro
M6 Pro - “Brighter” than M6
M8 - Similar to M6

M6 21 - ...?
M6 Pro 21 - ...?

Again, the idea here is to get an idea in terms of coloration/tuning, not overall technical capabilities.

Thanks in advance

To my ears!

M6 used to be warmer than M6 Pro.
Now with Sabre DACs, I would say tuning of M6 21 and M6 Pro 21 are fairly close.
Both of them being little bit "brighter" or more neutral than original M6 Pro.

We will be sending out review sample to the standard Shanling reviewer's, so you will be able to get more details from them.

Thanks! Can we expect more models which are closer to warmer M8 sound signature being more budget-friendly and pocketable at the same time like original M6 was? There are many brighter midrange DAPs on the market which represent typical Sabre sound but a shortage of properly made and relatively powerful musical yet detailed models now unfortunately :frowning2:
