Wheel is the only thing I don't like in Shanling hardware. Apart from accidental move, its effect sometimes is not immediate which is a usability flaw to me.

I believe by default the m5s' scroll wheel has a software feature where u need to move it once before it takes effect. Its to prevent accidental volume changes while the device is in pocket.

I think the scroll wheel 's sensitive issue is fixed with new FW 3.0

I still get the erratic volume jumping with the scroll wheel on FW 3.0 :frowning2:

Back from European exhibitions, quickly trying to catch up, sorry if I missed your question, just send it here again please.

@Shanling
Great job on the interface though one thing it lacks that I hope you'll implement is bitrate information of the songs in the Now Playing screen. Please? :pray:

We have bitrate shown as part of detailed file info.
I know some players shows it on main screen, but we think most users knows their files enough and if in doubt, exact info is just few clicks away.

@Shanling
Is it possible to add a A-B section repeat function? That would be awesome.

Not really something we are looking into now.

Can we change the type of subscription? My m5s defaults to Tidal HiFi after login, but I only have the Premium subscription and playback fails if I try to play anything :frowning2:

Anybody else having same problem with Tidal Premium? I will check with our software team on this.

@Shaniling, nobody could answer me on this. Is it possible to volume control the device in Bluetooth receiver mode? I don't want to reduce transmitted volume, but instead, I want M5s to align its output volume with selected Bluetooth level for best audio quality. Is that possible? Thanks.

When using M5s in BT receiver mode, you have independent volume control on M5s and on your source(mostly smartphone).

.

Any update on the erratic/jumping volume issue with the scroll wheel.

It wasn’t fixed in the latest firmware.

Some posts here suggest is is an unfixable hardware issue. Do I need to send my unit back?

Yeah, I've been waiting months for this, I remember @Shanling saying this feature was being tested in beta, but there was no information about expected release.

Still in works, no estimated date right now.

@Shanling will you apply new M2x theme 4 to the next FW?

Yes, it should be added in future.

On my unit it was fixed with 3.0 firmware. Can you try to take video showing, how severe is your problem?

You can try to downgrade to lower firmware, to see if it stay same.
