@Shanling
Great job on the interface though one thing it lacks that I hope you'll implement is bitrate information of the songs in the Now Playing screen. Please? :pray:

@Shanling
Is it possible to add a A-B section repeat function? That would be awesome.

2.5mm balanced output?

Yes.

Shanling knows how to put soul into their DAPs that draws you into the music and gives you eargasms. It’s the same with the M3s cept this player has a better stage and more details/separation.

@equalspeace : just curious, do you also have mod balanced cable for the Sennheiser HD 6xx ? I only used the stock one for my Sennheiser HD598. But now the Audeze iSine 10 with balanced cable outperforms the HD598...

With my HD6xx I use a Corpse cable with a 2.5 mm termination. I also have the 4.4mm cable that Senn makes, but I don’t get to use that too often these days. I’m just holding on to it incase something great comes along w that output. When I had the Fiio Q1 Mk2 it drove my 6xxs surprsingly well with the Corpse cable.

Thanks for the link! Is this firmware file compatible with my US Shanling M5s player or is this only for Chinese M5s players?
there is no region difference, you can flash it on any m5s :)

Bitrate information is there :) you just have to tap the album art and scroll twice to the right.

So @toranku how do find the M5S after spending some time living with it?

Haven't had the time to compare to SR15 and ZX300 actually. Other than that, very happy with the UI, battery life and noise floor. Its really tough to find something with a low noise floor these days and they fit the bill well.

Other than the wheel being sensitive and changing volumes whenever I put it in my pocket, I find no problem with it since I set it to not be able to adjust volume when screen is off.
