I hope it supports Tidal because i can't see anything related to streaming in that video.

Well it seems to be worked on a streaming solution. I am not interested in Tidal but I hope for Qobuz support. Every streaming capable HiRes player should be able to work with Qobuz being HiRes forerunners.

Qobuz isn't even available in a lot of countries and has much less genre than Tidal... pointless to give priority to it before Tidal.

All we need now is reviews of whether it hisses with high sensitivity low impedance IEMs.

I can tell you, to my sensitive ears and with Jomo Samba, hiss of M5s is somewhere between M0 and M3s.

It is vice versa - Qobuz covers a lot more music genres than Tidal, especially Classic and Jazz.
And once registered with Qobuz you can use it everywhere....

But I guess this discussion is no topic for this thread so no more comments on my behalf

Will this have a line out solely for driving a external amp?
I'd assume so, but worth asking.... As an add on to this question, is it a variable line out (like with the hiby r6 and the ess9028 chips in general) or fixed line out?

Not a true line level output, but rather a fixed (max.) volume output, shared with the 3.5 mm 'phone jack, if M2s and M3s are anything to go by.

Can M5s work as USB DAC for Windows 10 PC, transmitting via Bluetooth to LDAC-enabled Sony headphones?
Or can other Shanling products do that?

Just software setting, no dedicated line-out.

If this one has Spotify support also it would be imposible not to buy it, really tempting

We will be glad to implement Spotify. But since they have like 180 milion users on phones, seems they have no need, so no interest, in implementing such function on some small third party system.

Luckily, you can stream from your phone over BT. LDAC is claimed to be good for CD quality, so it can do with Spotify quality just fine.

Not yet implemented in any of our devices. But looking into it.
