Hi, just got my Titan M5s yesterday.

After reading the earlier posts, manage to replicate the Ampli relay problems.

The details are as follow:
- Running balanced port
- FW: 2.1
So, everytime i pause tracks, and played it after 30secs of relay clicks, when i played again only the Left channel have sound and muting the Right one. I can eliminate the problem above, by turning on the Auto-Standby setting.

Luckily, when i rolled back to 2.0, the problem is non-existance.

But, there is one problem in BOTH FW. The Library Update keep stuck at No. 2190 out of 3200 songs (90ish GB) in my 128GB Sandisk card with ExFAT...

Please address problems above in the later FW @Shanling , thanks...

Muting only one channel, that's a new...

With problem of scanning, we got few reports of this and every time it seems there is some misbehaving file on card. For example, one user found problem was caused by WAV files bigger than 40MB. Can you check for such files?

So I just bought the Meze 99 Classics and the official Meze 2.5mm balanced cable that was on sale for $50, and both should arrive tomorrow. I just plug the balanced cable into the M5's 2.5mm balanced port and that's all there is to it, right? I'm sorry but I've never had balanced headphones before. The Meze will be my first! :smile_phones:

Yes, just connect cable and insert into M5s.

sorry just to check,

can spotify be loaded on this?

There is no Android inside M5s, so unfortunately you can't install other apps.

I just loaded a 400GB Card (366GB Capacity) with 364GB of Flac and Alac files and absolutely no issues.

Do you have .wav files that bigger than 40MB? I think i do...
No .wav files, they are all Flac or Alac. The good news for you is that converting formats is relatively easy now and because they are all lossless, the converted file remains lossless. I used JRiver to take all of my orbis and most of my flac to Alac so itunes could read it. I had no loss of SQ

Dear Shanling, some high quality EQ is missing in your awesome products (I'm owning two and considering buying more). A parametric EQ (at least without fancy graphical UI) or just a bass/treble setting (ranged -10..0..10) like for example Rockbox does would be a firmware goodness of last years!

The Meze 2.5mm balanced cable is a pleasure to use. As my ears are too small for the NEO i use the cable with my Denon AH-D5200 headphones. Just plug and play.

The connectors Meze have chosen are awesome. No bulky connectors like the many heavy metal weights on other "high end" cables. Slim, sturdy and good fit. Plus microphonics (noise while touching/rubbing the cable) are very low. Great choice.

There's also a more expensive Meze braided cable, which I heard sounds even better, but I can't find it on Amazon for some reason. To be frank, I'm a bit nervous putting the 99 Classics on my head for the first time, since I heard that the newest pads bloats the lower frequencies so much that the headphones actually farts out bass. :astonished:

I’m curious to hear how the 99 Classics pair with the M5s. I am low key looking at closed backs and I like the massdrop Noir version quite a bit.

If they decide to put the original pads on them, then I'm all in (again).

I tried the Meze 99 Neo and they were not made for me. The earcushions were to small for my (not big ears) and the foam made a "crackling" sound when i moved my head. The sound presentation was ok but i went with the "underrated" Denon AH-D5200 instead. Perfect build for me, no noise when you move your head. Satisfying clicky adjustment and awesome sound presentation. Nothing elevated. Not an out of the box bass-giant. But every frequency is presented well. Not harsh not recessed. If you are a bass-head, configure your lows in the EQ and the Denons will provide without making any rattling/annoying noise. Years ago everyone talked about Denon headsets (phones). Now the enthusiasm is reduced... in my opinion for no reason.

I have the braided balanced cable from Meze and it sounded great on the 99 Classics I had. I gifted them to a friend but kept the cable. I am waiting on getting the 99 Noir this April. Can't wait to the get these and try them with my gear and the new M5S as well...
