How many hours should it last? Decepcionante.

Yes, I just reset it again, pull out card, and unplugged headphones, will check it again. Also after a hard reset and before further configuring it?

I think acceptable for android players is loosing around 10% for 10 hours in idle. Someone mention about 20 days standby in earlier posts, but I don't have such expectation. How many hours should it last?

Hi, I own a DAP shanling m3x, and I use uapp, I have paid for the mqa extension, I play primarily tidal. My point is that in uapp i can see when i listen on wireless headphones what version of mqa i am listening to, green and blue tick. But when I have the 3.5mm jack plugged in, the dots aren't there. I don't know why the dap itself doesn't indicate what type of mqa is currently playing.

Because the M3X is a MQA full decoder, when using 3.5 mm, UAPP doesn't do any MQA decoding in the app but transmits the unaltered stream to the M3X's internal DAC which then does the decoding. In this mode, UAPP doesn't show any of the blue or green dots because it doesn't authenticate the stream but passes it through. You should see 705.6 or 768 kHz in the top status bar indicating full 16x decoding is taking place. Unfortunately the M3X does not indicate whether the stream is MQA Studio (blue dot) or MQA (green dot) when internally decoding.
When using bluetooth, UAPP does authenticate and perform the first unfold (showing the dots), but the music is then downsampled for the BT codec and loses quality. The internal DAC is not used for bluetooth.

You do have to use bit-perfect mode to make sure MQA works properly. I leave everything else at the defaults.
@Shanling Are you aware of a bug where the unit freezes up and requires a hard reset (i.e. holding the volume dial in for 30 seconds or so). During the freeze music continues to play, but the unit doesn't respond to any buttons, the volume wheel, or to taps.
I've encountered this a couple of times this week, but also prior to the last firmware release. Would be nice to have that fixed, as it's quite frustrating.
Sorry, I don't know how to reproduce it reliably. Last time it happened I had long pressed on the android deskop and then tapped the desktop to dismiss the menu...
Snap!
Although my problem doesn’t seem too frequent. It has actually done this twice in the last year or so. It is still one of my favourite DAPs.

Dělá mi to taky, docela často. Je to dost nepříjemné.

I just bought a TempoTec V6, purely on price and to help TempoTec with their Kickstarter project. I have a small problem and their support is poor. I have the Shanling M3X which I love. I bought it through a UK retailer, so I have the support. I
the M3X. The V6 sounds as good about =, but the M3X form factor is better, smaller, and it is tuned brilliantly, sounds crisp and clean, with good bass and good battery life. For the cost the Shanling M3X is very special.

yup, it's actually possible, if you are rooted and have Naptime+ installed because the unit will be deep dozed 5 seconds after the screen turns off. though 10% battery drain is still a a lot for something not being really usedI think acceptable for android players is loosing around 10% for 10 hours in idle. for a few days now, i am noticing that Neutron does a full decode of MQABecause the M3X is a MQA full decoder, when using 3.5 mm, UAPP doesn't do any MQA decoding in the app but transmits the unaltered stream to the M3X's internal DAC which then does the decoding. Yes, as long as Neutron isn't manipulating the stream (i.e. bit-perfect), the

Yes, it is a lot, but I had players and phones with similar drain and I can live with it. Unfortunately at the moment after 12 hours M3x loosing 50-60% battery live. It looks like M3x don't go into deep sleep for some reason, any idea why?yup, it's actually possible, if you are rooted and have Naptime+ installed because the unit will be deep dozed 5 seconds after the screen turns off. though 10% battery drain is still a a lot for something not being really used
