I believe this is due to the well known problem with the scroll-wheel malfunction. As @Shanling often said here you should ship back the M3S to the retailer if in warranty or ask them for the replacement part.
There is a guide on disassembly and fix somewhere in this thread

Hi, my m3s has a huge problem.

The Scrollwheel doesn´t work normal. When i scroll in the menu it jumps up and down. It is really hard to go to the Music i want to play.

I have the 1.6 Firmware.

My scroll wheel had a similar issue. I was able to fix the problem with a bit of lubricant, after reading other posts in this thread recommending it. The lubricant is CAIG Laboratories DeoxIT D5. If you search this thread for 'deoxit', you'll find other posts about it.

Is it more like inaccuracy(you more one step, it jumps more?) or is it completely random and not usable?

We do not provide direct warranty for international markets, that's what we have local distributors for.

Also, our players are not sold by Amazon. They are sold through Amazon by our dealers/distributors, who are the ones that shall be contacted for warranty.
