And while OTG won't work with a drive, it should work with your phone. At least according to my file explorer on my Note 8 it should. Which is a plus because I transfer everything to the card on my phone. So between Hiby and file transfer it should be a nice setup without ever needing my computer.

I did just tried your suggestion and it works well. Great Idea. My Lumia 950 detects 2 MicroSD cards and I can transfer files from one to another correctly.
So I can move all my music out of the computer to the M1, and from there transfer whatever to the phone. Cool stuff.

Hey, you might just get exactly what you were looking for a few posts back! Nice.
Tell me about it. Why couldn't they spill the beans during all the hoopla a few posts back? I could've gotten off my soapbox much sooner.

They do a nice clip for it and you'll have a lot of people unhappy with SanDisk hopping on board. Especially if you can move music and play lists from your phone.

I think they were pulling your chain...for effect, you know? Haha

Tried the file moving for you.

M0 connects to my Honor 9(Android 8) over USB OTG cable and in Total commander it shows up as standard external USB drive. And this way I was able to copy music files from my phone to micro SD card inserted in M0.

I think I have to sadly take back my "take my money" comment since the M0 won't work with HiBy. Shanling said they might have their own app for similar functionality, but I won't drop the coin if it's something that is just being planned. I probably would've been happy with physical buttons and no touch screen than a new OS and touch screen. Especially for something that seems like it will get used by the active crowd. Physical buttons trump on screen navigation. Guess this will be a wait and see thing.

It has one physical button (the wheel serves as button) and can be set up for action on double tap. Of course we wouldn't make player, that would be totally uncontrollable in the pocket.

Good to know. More concerned with your Android app. Will it be ready to go when the player is out or will it be something we'll have to wait on?

Purely curious question, what prompted you guys to go in house with the OS over using HiBy like the other M's? Did the other OS not play nicely with touch? Or will future models also have your home grown OS?

Honestly, no idea on app's ETA.

All our future models will have our new MTouch OS. To make it short, developing software in house allows us to react quicker to problems, we can shape it more to our ideas and wishes of our customers and we are free to build in more features.

Sounds like a good plan. Maybe I can get that cue/play once feature where the music stops after each song until you hit play again. It'd be a playback option like repeat 1, repeat all, play once. Used it on Cowon and Creative players.
