I don't know. I'm not sure that they have a iFi Bridge app for Mac OS. If so then yes, it should work either way since there's nothing "custom" about the setup. If you have the app running on any Windows PC on your network it should work though, even if that PC isn't your Roon Core.

Another day of musical bliss with the ET-3 DLNA streaming via QQ Music‘s QPlay upsampled via I2S into the Holo Spring 3 KTE and KGSSHV Carbon. Transducer today is the venerable classic Stax SR-X Mk1 Normal Bias (NB), circa 1970. The relative newcomer, ET-3, does not seem out of place in this company. Gorgeous music from an outstanding source with the luscious Shanling house sound.

The ET3 is up-and-running [16bit/44.1kHz] via USB Audio out to the Mojo Audio Mystique Gen.1 [NOS] DAC, which in turn is running single-ended out to the Schiit LYR+.

The Shanling comes simply but securely packaged. This transport is a solidly and beautifully built unit that sounds quite good straight out of the gate, even though my set-up is not optimal yet (shelves needed).

Cannot perform an exact a/b versus the NuPrime CDT-8 with the Mojo Audio DAC [USB input only], so will have to reinsert the D400EX and compare with AES/EBU or Toslink cable. Too bad neither the Shanling nor the NuPrime can be used i2s out to the S.M.S.L.(!)

Just put on the Herbie's Super Black Hole CD Mat . . . an indispensable tweak! What more can I say?

Also, I will note that the ET3 is much quicker/more responsive to the remote control than is the CDT-8.

Just landed! I'm actually using it as a CD player... I'm still waiting for my custom i2s cable. I'm currently using coax to my A26 Gustard to a Denon PMA-A110 to a pair of Warfdale Elysian 2.

Initial results are that vinyl is more dynamic and the bass is a little fuller. Let's call vinyl, a little more full and rich.

Although, the cd is DEFINITELY more convenient, which my cat appreciates. I'm looking forward to doing more comparisons. I'd also like to do cd vs streaming.

With the NuPrime CDT-8, I generally preferred streaming playback [my USB stream is heavily tweaked].
