I have just bought an Audiolab 9000 CDT (great sound!) but because I have a large CD collection and several dacs, I will consider the ET3 in a future purchase.

By any chance did you (or others) manage to compare the ET3 to the 9000CDT? (or ProJect RS2T, DS2T etc.)? The mere comparison is a praise to the ET3, price considered...

Got my new ET3 yesterday. Firmware 1.6. I am using it just as a CD transport connected via toslink to my Chord Hugo TT2. It is connected to my wifi.
Great sound and nice looking!
Does anyone know if it is possible to show art and metadata of the CD that is playing?

No support for metadata of playing CDs.

Hi, I have been reading most of the post here and delighted to secure one ET3 lately. I have few questions.

1. I have setup wifi connection using Eddict apps and ET3 has shown wifi network connected. But when i scroll to System Setting\Network Update, it shows 'U disc not found' ? Isn't network update is over the air, why it prompts to local update?

2. Playing CD and digital ouput via coaxial to my Denafrip Aries 2 then pre-amp/amp, work flawlessly. Can I upsampling from CD playing (eg. SRC > DSD 64 (for digital coaxial maximum) ?

3. Using NAS (Eddict Apps), it able to detect my server... ROCK (Roon) Intel NUC with external SSD connected, try to select the music folder, but it goes down all the way to album/song and not able to choose a folder... please teach newbie how to select a music folder drive, then music scan.

Appreciate your tips and advise in advance.

Further to post above, I read somewhere in Shanling Download... that even over-the-air update, one still need to insert a USB-stick, is that correct? (Question No. 1)

So... for CD playback and internal upsampling, one needs to have a USB-stick in order for SRC upsampling? (Question No. 2)

2. Yes, you can use the upsampling up to the limit of coaxial or your DAC. You can test it easily and see what will be the results.

2. Now I can upsampling to DSD 64, after select the radio button DSD 64, then press "play".. If I press "source" as back button, then play , it won't play... the display screen stated "u-disk not found".

Cable arrived today. I just hooked it up... IT WORKS!!! I honestly don't know what I'm doing here. I'll show you what I selected and what I'm getting at the dac. And, I haven't done any updates to the A26 or the ET3.



And, to answer your question about conveying what you're putting together. During checkout, there is a comment section. I listed the two components there. No issues. Took a couple days longer to get here than I expected but it was delivered by snail mail this

Thanks for the information on the I2S cable. I'm getting ready to place an order and I cannot find the comment section. Mine too will have to be a custom cable. Is the comment section after you've paid?
