Anyway, there are some comparisons between the two products and I see that you've found one already. 
Our RS 170 / RS 180 have been well-received and I hope to see more reviews of the RS 220 very soon!

You musn't have searched very hard.
I had dozens of threads going all over the internet.
I compared dozens of wireless headphones.
 
The comparisons were done in very prominent forums (inc this one).
I didn't have access to most of them, so I couldn't compare directly.
But the analysis was as detailed as it could be.
 
It was all done about 18mth ago...
Pretty sure 6500 (or a slightly older brother) was on the list.
Eventually the RS180 came out on top.

I indeed did a DEEP search about that comparison...and have not found any other than that of Amazon...I meant a comparison between the Senn rs170/180 AND Sony MDR-ds6500...don't rush to reach a conclusion about my way to search.
 Might have some other comparison with other Sonys but NOT to that model.
If you are so kind to direct me to just ONE or two others I would appreciate it!

I don't have access to sales order information but it's possible that some markets may order and/or receive their units later. It's always best to check with your nearest Senheiser dealer to confirm its availability. Hope this helps!

The RS 220 is able to accept all kinds of sample rates (16kHz, 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 96 kHz, 192 kHz with resolutions of 16bit, 20 bit and 24bit).

Hi Rosmadi...It seems that you work for Sennheiser so thought I'd direct my question to you but would also appreciate anyone else's feedback...I just purchased the RS 160's a few days ago and they sound fantastic..even the bass is quite good...I use them basically only for movies.. but I get this weird clicking noise everytime the action in a movie gets really loud...is there anyway to get rid of the clicking sound? it only appears to happen when there is a huge explosion or something like that in a movie..thanks a lot!

The RS 160 does not come with automatic level control (ALC) so you may want to adjust the level on your source and/or transmitter.

I have been on a 2 weeks journey to find my new headset setup
 
I want to all together wirelessly watch movies (at night so no speakers at that time), hear music (all over the house, cooking, in bed, etc) and ALSO play computer games with decent virtual surround sound.
 
All those sources are together my sweet beast-like computer (which doesn't have yet a soundcard )
 
From what I read putting some nice RS 170 or RS 180 in front of some receiver that has Dolby Headphone (or what other technologies would be recommendable?) would definitely keep my ears happy hehe.
 
Now my real doubt is then what Soundcard/Amp (and what technologies) is/are advisable for a Desktop Setup (no TV, no Hi-Fi)!
 
I have contacted Sennheizer in Denmark but the employee that replied said he had no knowledge/experience with soundcards :/
 
Another doubt I have is if it would be possible to to get the following setup:
 
OS music/movie/game -> Soundcard -> Logitech x530 5.1 Speakers -> (3.5mm jack) RS 170/180
 
Then it would be very easy to reach the cable to unplug and switch from Speakers to Headphone cheers!

I am still confused what I should choose :/ RS 170 or RS 180...
 
I feel attracted to the more bassy sound of the closed 170 but at the same time I want to have good surround (will plug them with a Dolby Headphone receiver, need to check if I can do that with a soundcard like the Xonars) for gaming, for which bass is not so advised from what I read as it would disrupt clearness of surround sound, is that correct?
 
If so I guess my best choice would be the 180 :O
