Hey guys!

New on the forum, but long time looker :)

Ok, just bought my Rs 170 (as i needed the closed version) but for some reason i always feel a higher volume on the right cup (where the controls are) than in the left one.. only some shows the seem equal.. my output source is a Panasonic 50st50 Tv..

Is this normal, or do you think a have damaged set?

Cheers!

Hi Silver-Eye,

Did you get a good fit when putting on the receivers? You may want to ensure a snug fit around your ears to avoid leakage or unbalance L/R sound.

Hello Head-Fi people.

Just made an account today to talk about the RS 160. I read up the whole thread & I'm deciding between the 160 & the 170 for the closed factor & I'm leaning towards the 160 because of portability + price. What I wanted to know is how much % of SQ will I be losing between the 170 & the 160,

Also, instead of the surround feature of the 170, can I get something like the Turtle Beach DSS 7.1 to use as a DAC + Surround for the 160s?

Any insight is appreciated.

Cheers.

thanks for the answer!

yep everything was ok, and now, after several hours of use, I don't feel the difference anymore, with the same movies.. I think the set had to be used a bit more to develop to its full potencial.. I'm a happy costumer now! :D

Once again thank you for the help!

The SQ for both RS 160 and RS 170 are quite similar. However, as you've mentioned, the former do not come with Dynamic Bass and Surround Sound listening modes.

OOT I paired my RS 180 with the Turtle Beach Earforce DSS to get the surround. It sounds great on RS180! I used this combo for PS3 too and its just fantastic. Not sure about the SQ on RS 170/160, but I believe the Turtle Beach DSS should be able produce good surround sound on any headphone.

Hi shank23,

Both the RS 160 and RS 170 are great wireless headphones to watch your movies and/or listening to music. They should still be comfortable an hour or so after you've put them on. Personally, I wouldn't use either one of them for my workouts. Instead, I've been using the PMX 685i for this purpose

Hello Rosmadi Mahmood,

I have a good wired headphone but due to the wires, my iPhone has fallen a lot of times and now I’m concerned for it. So thats why I was looking for a wireless headphone for working out. Please suggest.
