Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk

Ok, have received cable from Brise Audio. *However,* they ended up sending me the STR7-Ref instead of the BESP IE900 tuned cable. The confusion must have stemmed from me originally asking about the STR7-Ref cable in my first email, despite later opting for the BESP. That said, I'm not complaining, since the STR7-REF is one of their top tier cables and I'll certainly keep it (although I remain curious about the BESP will sound, but I'll leave that to @Scuba Devils to give his impressions).

Sound impressions to follow, but early impressions - without A/B'ing with stock cable - the STR7-Ref does seem to retain the tuning of the stock cable. Build is very good, more nimble than my ASUHA Ref.2. The fit is very good, though the cable slider needs to be quite high to ensure the wires above the ears retain their place (they also need manual adjustment to shape to one's ear). More to follow.

Nice looking cable that. As an aside I see you have the R01 N6ii module listed in your sig. Do you have it yet? If so, what are your impressions of the sound vs the other modules with the IE900?

Cheers. R01 should be here later this week, hopefully. I'll be glad to provide impressions once it arrives.

That cable looks fantastic! Nicely packaged too.

Mine had an extra night in Belgium but is now showing in transit so I'm expecting it tomorrow or Thursday.

Yep, used it for a few hours. The comfort is not for me.

For the brief moment the stars aligned, the sound is truly fantastic. I would say the bass on this is superior to the LX in quality.
So you returned it solely based on comfort?

Not that I believe or follow Z reviews but he said the IE900 didn't wow him, especially at the asking price, unless they were double the price of IE300.
Anyone can comment on that?
I think you answered your own question in your first few words.

Well, he also said he wasn't sure why it cost so much because the driver was only 7mm and not at least 10mm. Enough said. :see_no_evil:

When I watch Zeos it's for entertainment, not advice.
Even there, his value as a source of entertainment is questionable.

Since you’re also located in Belgium, where did you demo the IE900 or did you blind buy? 😅

I'm actually in Dublin but the cable stopped off in Belgium from Japan!
