Anyone got the balls to remove the memory wire from the stock cable?
Don't think i could do it in a non-messy way, so i would rather just sell all 3 of my stock cables (if i decide to keep the iems that it).Anyone got the balls to remove the memory wire from the stock cable?
Oh wow, i wish i could order, but Japan..Details of the new IE900 compatible MMCX plugs from the excellent Brise Audio just announced - http://briseaudio.jp/portable/pr/20210528.html
I have a Asuha Ref.2 and despite the hassle of ordering from Japan, I find it well worth it (although local distributor would of course be preferable). Probably I'll get the STR7-Ref for the IE900. Should be good combo.Oh wow, i wish i could order, but Japan..
Welcome to the #ie900clubSome random thoughts after receiving my package half an hour ago:
- i hate earhooks with memory wires. Especially in combination with swirling mmcx connectors
- none of my replacement cables works with it, but that was expected
- love how small and comfortable the shells are, i'm using SpiralDot++ tips, will do more rolling later
- very deep and powerful bass, without sounding bloated or messy, i love it with some music, except for the sheer quantity, that's way more than i usually want, will see if my brain adjusts or if i need to EQ it down
- as far as "fun" iems go, these are rather balanced, with no weird peaks or excessive brightness

They're not the cheapest, you're looking at from about 400€ up to 1k.Struggling to navigate the product page for those cables but definitely tempted too. Can anyone see what sort of $$$ they cost?

Pretty much tho the website is indeed rather cumbersome. Thanks, must take a look again from my laptop, struggling on my phone. Are they easy enough to order from and ship etc?

Try here https://briseaudio.jp/store/Yeah I got to the store product page and couldn't see an option for English. I must read up on them elsewhere, I'm guessing they are highly regarded. I don't plan another IEM purchase for a while and considering how much I love the IE900, I'd happily upgrade the cable for the right option.
