Yeah, interesting review. He leans on sticking with the ie 900, though apart from the "more bass" doesn't explain why. Just another "reviewer" chugging through review units I suppose.
Valour tries to sound like he knows his stuff. But after watching a couple of his reviews one notices how inconsistent and mostly shallow his descriptions and explanations are. Too bad because he knows his stuff when it comes to shooting and editing videos.

I really think many people underestimate the detail and control the IE900 has in the whole frequency range. Obviously a frequency response graph wont tell you that *cough* crinacle *cough* but its something that can make all the difference.
Of course i dont want to argue that all these english reviews seem pretty rushed.
What i can tell is that the german reviewer is known for taking his time with the products he tests.
Here is his conclusion in my own words:
The IE600 is an extremely well tuned IEM. In comparison to the IE900 the amount of detail and control is slightly less (especially noticable in bass) and the IE600 lacks the Wow-factor the IE900 has. The IE900 is a little more airy and trebble forward and delivers a slightly bigger more holographic soundstage. Imaging seems cleaner and more precise. The IE600 on the other hand can be less fatiguing/ more relaxed especially with lower quality recordings or bad mastering. While he thinks some people might really enjoy the IE600 in general he sees the IE900 as the superior option even though it really depends on the listener if its worth it.

TBH, the different impressions are always fun to read and hear, especially after spending a few months with IE 600. A reviewer's mindset is different when they are bombarded with gear, too. They're [perhaps unknowingly] seeking a different narrative versus someone looking to buy it and own it for as long as they can.
I know that if I were reviewing cars, for example, and a really well-rounded vehicle were to show up in my driveway, I would approach the critique much differently than if I were buying one from the lot with my own cash, and then sharing my views with the world.
Plus we all hear, think, and like different things. Doesn’t mean one is wrong and the other right. It’s just a matter of taste and how we like our music to be presented to us. I, myself wanted just a tad bit more bass and upper mids on the IE900 and it seems like the IE600 has that. I’ll just really have to hear it and compare them side by side if the latter could actually come close to the technicalities of the IE900.
Also,It wasn’t clear in Josh’s or Crin’s video if they actually did an A/B comparison between the two models or it was just based on aural memory. So I’m still curious how much difference they have in the technicalities stand point.

Is there any word on IE900 production/stock? I know the production moved to a different country, but wasn't sure if production has started up again. Really trying to get my hands on a new one ever since I heard it. I love the way its tuned.
