Looks like I’m gonna pull the trigger on IE 600 to complement IE 900. I love the 900 so much, and from the initial impressions, looks like IE 600 would be a great addition to my stable.
The surface of the IE 600 housing is somewhat dimpled whereas the IE 900 is smooth. If ZR01 amorphous zirconium were used as an acoustic material in the same way as the IE 900, you'd get varying results out of each IE 600 because you can't put the dimples in the same order and place every time. You want predictability and repeatability so that you're hearing the music, not the materials. Hope that helps!
Not to mention I noticed the IE600 has black plastic nozzles vs 1-piece AL construction down to the tips on the IE900. But again, I would agree that it would boil down to sonic preferences and individual hearing capabilities in the end.
You can push the Boxster much closer to its limit than you would a 911 besides the 718 is much more forgiving and relaxed compared to the hard charging and highly strung 911.
More than any other product line I actually feel like many owners of the IE 900 will also enjoy the IE 600 and ultimately keep both. There's no law saying you can't have a 718 and a 911 in the same garage.
That's the way I see it too, and as long as the tuning is substantially different and complementary, I can see myself using both. They'd be my EDCs anyway.
So based on reviews alone, the IE600 will be perfect for movies and gaming. IE900 for music. However, I think if I were to choose just one, it will be IE900 for everything. I need a pair that is musical to my ears.

As someone who uses the IE900 for gaming i would think that the IE600 will be better for action but worse for immersion. The staging seems to remain one of the strong benefits of the IE900 in comparison to the IE600 and this can depending on the game make a huge difference for either the competitive advantage or just how immersed you are in the game you play. Blockbuster games could really be great and probably better with the IE600 tho

You are right. I forgot about how good the IE900 is for its soundstage. It will be better in locating enemy’s footsteps for fps games. Will look forward to members’ comparisons in the coming days
I’m pretty darn sure my house would be reduced to ashes by the time I’m a fully trained firefighter and I think I’ll take my chances that I can carry two small IEM’s in my back pocket while evading the flames
Marketing truly makes for the best quotes
Now that the IE600 is announced, I can't help but think about the next iteration of IE900. The IE900S? If that ever happens, I am guessing it will be one hell of an IEM. Dreaming now

IE 900 was released not even 1 year ago and many are still trying to get their hands on one. We're seeing a lot of new and unexpected synergy with DAPs and DACamps so the ceiling still has yet to be found. Cheers!
