Oups .. the second time I have one driver of the IE 900 becoming totally dead !!!! this time it is the right one ... last July it was the left driver... I wonder if those are not too weak for an every day use for many hours.
I got The IE 900 last June 2021... and it's already the second time in less than 8 months, that they go back Sennheiser under warranty.
Luckily I still own the Excellent Beyerdynamic Xelento for every evening and nights and for a month now I also have the Vision Ears EXT for day time, so .. I am not really "hopeless".
Sorry to hear that. Do you wear the IE 900 all night? How long would you say you use it on average, per day?

Yes .. often all night (6 hours or so)... as I almost don't feel them in my ears, it's a significant help.
And day time (before I got the Vision Ears EXT ....) probably an average of 4 hours or more.

Sorry to hear this...sounds like bad luck as we've seen little fuss in the market. Care to share how you're using them? Sennheiser will make it right. Thank you for your patience!

I only carry them in a case and as I am comfortable for a while now with them, I don't need to touch them so much.
As I am almost never lying down on my right, I don't think the right driver was to bother with using it like this on a cushion..
The right driver just suddenly totally stopped and that's it.... I tried to invert the cable connection and another cable, but nothing helped.
As I love them too much, I will just be patient, Sennheiser will fix it and send me the box back. Probably just a bad luck.

I use my IE900 like 10+ hours as well and if that is serious something they are not meant for, next time a pair breaks on me im gonna sell them because this cant be really something i could tolerate for a TOTL IEM. Wired Headphones should hold up 10 years with normal use. A cable can break sure but the headphones shouldnt break without user error.

Wouldn’t the sleeping thing be damaging the mmcx?
