Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk

Also, maybe Senns should stop wasting money on vids like above, i am not gonna buy it "more" because of some guy telling me about plucking string instruments
I wasn't paid to do the video. I did it because I'm passionate about IE 900.

I have seen much worse vids from Sennheiser, I find this one quite informative. The listening test, we all still have to do ourselves.
Thank you. We created several videos with several intentions. The CGI video shows the sleek lines and inner components in a way human hands and video capture simply cannot. The "making of" gives us space to tell the story and offer insight into the engineers' process. The product tour video let's you see what is important to us while seeing the actual product. The early reviews from 3rd party reviewers allow you to see what is important to the reviewer while seeing the actual product.

Don't sweat it. It is a promotional video, we have no problem saying that. How else is anyone supposed to know about the product and its features if we don't talk about them? 😁 Hope you get to listen to them soon.

I just Pre-Ordered the IE 900 on Sennheiser website..
I am really intrigued by the "the three Helmholtz resonator chambers" and I believe this could possibly be a real step forward to have a better control of the sound in the ear canal.
Furthermore, I don't care anymore so much with the response curve, as we can adjust more or less this with some PEQ, I now think some other measurements would be more important like distortion and reactivity/speed in low and ultra low frequencies.

I will try to use a rather convenient FIIO LC-RE MMCX cable, so I hope the mmcx connectors will suit the IE 900.
So my two IEM should be soon Sony IER-Z1R (daytime) and Sennheiser IE900 (Night) instead of the Xelento.

Actually, I want to replace my excellent Xelento due to be unable to buy a protection grille, as I broke it in trying to clean it.
Let's hope Sennheiser services are better than Beyerdynamic for parts selling when necessary (Tips, Grille, Cable). For my used Xelento bought on amazon from a non pro seller, I could never buy any parts anywhere I need to change from Beyerdynamic => so I hope Sennheiser will be more pro when I need it.

First let me welcome you to the #IE900club ! Sennheiser is known for offering spare parts for nearly every headphone they ever produced. There are very few models which are exhausted of their parts. That said, IE 900 accessories will be offered for quite some time once they are made available.

@ericpalonen

I forgot to ask how much sound isolation does this new ie900 offers? For me isolation is very important I am in a very noisy environment.
I need minimum 20db.

I don’t remember the last time I had a closed-back IEM not hit this mark. With IEMs is difficult for them not to isolate; the 16-20 range is what I consider poor for an IEM’s isolation.

I think the upcoming Etymotic EVO might be just what you need instead.

Pre-ordered and look forward to hearing them.

I'm also told by Brise audio - for anyone interested - they'll be introducing a new set of dedicated MMCX plugs next month, which will work with the IE900.
Welcome, my friend, to the #IE900club !! 💪💪 Thank you for your preorder!
