Ie800 sounds very different.
It is the top of sound, for me it is stop from searching anything in ear anymore.
If I would now want a pair of headphones over the ear too, Ie800 would be enough to not want anything anymore in audio. Ie8/80 with very heavy EQ comes at 70% of ie800. My ultrasone dj one pro with a lot of added treble and mid treble comes at 80% of ie800. But the sound of ie800 is just mind blowing. Sennheiser created something completley different with this IEM.

But for the price point, ie8/80 are a very good deal too. In fact, if one does not want to spend more than 300$-350$, ie8/80 would be end game there. Ie800 is around 700$ new and can be found for 550-600 second hand, sometimes even as low as 500$.
