Thread made me take the 800s to Starbucks this morning. Glad I did. no-man - Love You To Bits. Prog meets EDM. Loving the bass kick.

I've purchased from Mr. Kernel here a used pair of Sennheiser IE800 few days ago. I live in Hungary, so the delivery is going to arrive in a week I think. I also purchased a brand new Sony Walkman, the NW-A105. It will replace my old one, the F-886, which is about 5 years old. What do you think guys, it's a good pair to listen music? A second question: the new gear of DAP is significantly better, than the old one? (I'm so excited!)

I was playing with the A105 last week, it's a nice player, but I prefer NOT having android, so it's a no go for me. I think it will play very nice with your ie800, which is probably the best IEM around (top-5 anyway). (Jó szórakozást!)

Hello I bought new IE800 yesterday, the sound is the crystal clear however, bass is really low even my 20$ CX300ii more fun to listen. I am using it with my Iphone via lighting/jack connector. Is it can be reason of that situation? Should i got DAC to get best sound or is it always like that?

The sound and especially bass will be dependent on how good a seal you get primarily, but also a decent source is required for the best results

I find the silicon tips give me the best seal. The 800(s) really is a smooth presentation with no boosts in the bass or treble to my ears. Just give them a few hours to let the brain adjust. I also have Legend X and when I first put on the 800(s) in the coffee shop I think they are a bit bass shy but soon they melt away.

i really love my ie800 but the lack of body (due to the fact they are so small) still disappoints me every time i put them. the rest is amazing. Pretty sure many people thinks the same
But sleeping with them is a joy compared to most iem's.

They are so easy to wear and just forget them and enjoy music. How are your cables holding up so far?

The kevlar 800 cable is a bit stiff but straightens as it warms. Usually use with the Mojo/Poly.
The 800s cable is good as new. I mostly use the balanced to the SP1000.
