Yes, and I have experienced those issues at first.

Cables sometimes used to harden, basically the plastic would become hard from the oils in the skin, rendering them useless...

All pairs that got this were replaced by Sennheiser directly and they did a great job at supporting their customers. Even now, they still offer support if any problems are to arise, I think that Senn is one of those companies that do have a great customer support.
Thank you for your response George... now just waiting till the IE800S to come out so the ie800 can go cheaper:beyersmile:

I just checked out the Sennheiser site which shows the S version. Really nice it includes both 2.5mm and 4.4mm balanced cables. The case looks a bit different, too.

Can’t wait to read some impressions after it is released ...

So somebody should now start an IE800S thread.

I don't deserve this honor, so somebody else should take this step.

How about you, George Dobrescu?

I second that!

Once you open the new thread, you have to volunteer to buy the product first and give us impressions, correct?
Just kidding.

I live something like 15 minutes of walk from the official Sennheiser representant in Romania, I should be able to hear them sometime soon

Good thing I also have a ton of gear to compare them with :smile_phones:
