I like the treble because even though it has its little peaks they are never harsh. IE00s could sound duller in comparison?

I am really happy to notive impressions coming in!

This is something I am curious about as well. I am a dedicated treble lover and I am really curious how having less peaks affected the general sound.

Dear God what a difference a burning in changes IE800 to become among the finest sounding in ear. Thought getting rid of them after c.a 50 hours of listening, but they opened up in every aspect, greatly improving soundstage, clarity, bass etc.

Nice job, how does it sound?

I'm using it with my Sony WM1Z and I'm in audio heaven, although I have another 100 hours of burn in. I was using it SE mode before, so now I can hear a wider sound stage and the clarity is unbelievable.
I'm listening to Film and the BBs, so cool.

Sorry for digging up this old post mate but would you be able to take a picture of the back of the snugs pro where the IE800 sticks out? the fit looks like it would be fantastic for the outer parts of your ear with the snugs pro. That’s if you still have these that is.

Thinking about full snugs pro version for my new IE800S

I’ll post a couple of pictures tonight.

I see you already got the 800s, are you happy with them?

It appears the new IE 800S is now making its way to owners, so I thought I’d ask a few questions:

Are the included cables longer than the IE 800’s total 1 meter length?

Is the shell still made from ceramic?

Are the tips attachment still a proprietary design? With the inclusion of Complys, I get the sense not.

And finally, what is the most noticeable sonic improvement over the IE 800?

    Thanks for any replies ...

Thanks I appreciate that, yeah I am really happy with them, definitely keeping them for years to come that’s why Im so keen on getting the full snugs like you did with the original IE800.

Only problem is I’m worried about the snugs creating treble peaks and wasting £200...

The cable is about 6-7 inches longer

Still made from ceramic but matte finish

    The tips are still proprietary

Sound quality definitely got an upgrade, overall more balanced sound, bass hits harder and more controlled, mids are clearer, treble is slightly smoother and even more detailed.

See my photo comparing size of cables in ie800S thread. Also more impressions there. Increased soundstage while keeping the nice clarity throughout the frequency range.
