Na man, I had 15xxx and now I got the 16xxx. From what I've been reading here, the headphones have been pretty universal in terms of frequency response because of the excellent engineering by Sennheiser. Go and enjoy your HD800s and stop thinking about anything other than the music
Received my HD800 yesterday from B&H Photo. Although they are brand new, the serial number is 120XX. People are posting much higher serial numbers for receintly purchased HD800s. Has there been any confirmed change between SN 12XXX and SN 16XXX? Should I return these and find a set with a higher serial number? I would really like to avoid this but it could be done since the store has a 30-day return policy.
I use B&H Photo to purchase camera gear. Apparently they don't move much volume of hi-fi equipment. When were the first SN 12XXX availble in stores? Early 2011?
