I hope my Wife is not reading this thread :smiling_imp:!

There are many here that are thinking the same exact thing.  I haven't jumped into desktop rigs because I don't want the hassle from a spouse that doesn't get my hobby.  But she has no issues with he 2 cabinets full of Precious Moments figures....

Yeah, or how about money spent on laser treatments, mani/pedi, facials, massage, etc... It's all good, and it's a free country brother, but I'm confident that she's spent more on that stuff than I've spent on the gear in my sig.

I finally started listening to a little bit of jazz on the 650's. Two thumbs up! They sure handle 'busy' music very well and effortlessly with a very smooth fluidity.

Listening to Volto! Incitare. Danny's drumming is represented perfectly, guitars and keyboard are separated from each other, and I can hear the low root notes (vs harmonics.. not sure if 'root' is the correct word) of the bass easily :D

edit: One thing I'm beginning to notice is that listening to the 650's is like having the whole entire band right in front of my face which is odd if I think about it too much. Almost like I'm standing in front of the drummer.

A big thumbs up! Listen to Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers, "Moanan' ", a great tune!

I might try these out with an amp. And if you don't have an amp how do they sound?

These babies need some help to really open up.  If I'm playing directly from a DAP or Laptop, I will reach for my HD25s or DT1350s.

I'm planning to sell a custom 12 foot silver poison toxic cable for HD650/600/580

My accounts only 27 days old, haha, so PM me if you're interested and we might be able to make a deal. They sound really great with HD650s

Why so? The hd800 is very different.

I guess I am just curious.....plus I already have a nice amp for them, I also understand they are great for blues.....I figure why not?

I was interested in the Hifiman 560....but am going to wait for awhile on those.....let itself play out, so to speak.

I think that we may be taking the same route. What kind of amp do you have for them?

You have interest in the 560 too ?

I will be amping with Mad Ear+HD
