This is why I was wondering why the 650's were more $$ than the 600 drivers.  Thanks

092855 HD 650 Driver - $50.25 each
091570 HD 600 Driver - $70.90 (only $58.45 with free shipping on sennheiser.com)
092815 HD 600 Grill - $27.80 each

It seems the prices are still very similar as of 9/2/16.  Here's what I ordered today.

Hello You all

Up for this topic as i can't find The 095170 item anymore for my HD 580.......22 years old!!!
just one driver out and for sure need to change both !!
but on Ebay they only have the 092855.

Thank you if you can updated me with actual links.

PS : I saw one on Ebay (but only one...) and also contacted my distributor but no answer.

Have you tried their contact center? if you're in France: https://fr-fr.sennheiser.com/service-support-contact

Also, just a thought but considering what the price of what the drivers alone used to cost, have you considered the massdrop HD58X? I've seen used (like new) pairs sell here on the classifieds for cheap.

Another option is you can list a wanted ad here on the classifieds for just the drivers. Might get lucky!

It turns out you do. I copied this from the "For Sale and Trade Forums FAQ":

"Yes. Anyone wishing to post a thread in the For Sale/Trade forums must be a member of Head-Fi for over thirty (30) days, and have over fifteen (15) posts. If you have not met these requirements, you will not see the option to create a new classified.

Please note that after you've made your 15th post (if you already have been a member for 30 days), the system may take up to one hour to update before you will have access."

Hope this helps!

Any and all foam in my Sennheiser HD 580 Precision is disintegrating/turning to powder. Is It worth is to replace just the foam headband ear pads? Or should I replace other parts like the drivers also, or even wire? Just wondering because they are so old the foam is disappearin, should I replace other parts also or just buy different headphone? I also have the HD 600. I have been using the 580 with my iPad and iPhon, so not a lot of amp in either. I do haveSCHIIT ASGARD 2 amp that gets plenty warm to use with my 600.
Any wisdom, ideas, recommendations are appreciated.

If you have never refreshed your earpads then be prepared for a wonderful change! And yes it is most definitely worth it:)
As long as the sound is intact ie you don’t hear any imbalance or distortions, you shouldn’t worry about the internals. But sure change the headband and pads every now and again - the latter will literally transform your old HD580 and make it sound like new.
My uncle has had a 580 for 25 years and changed pads and headband probably every 2/3 years, dropped it on the floor numerous of times, yanked the cable out of the headphone just as many...and has never had a problem with any of the internals. Still sounds brilliant:)

With all of Sennheiser’s 6 series cans I very much recommend sticking to stock pads ie get the proper ones directly off of Sennheiser. They are a bit pricey but worth it imo. I’ve tried a lot of different pads over the years and ultimately find that stock is the way to go. That’s my tastebuds though:)

Sennheiser has officially split and spun off their consumer division, which includes headphones. Does anyone know where to source the driver part (System 300R / part #091570) in the US? I've been looking for the better part of an hour with no luck stateside. I need one of my HD 600 pairs back in service ASAP.
