You know that cable just broke. Well, not the cable but the 6,3 connector fell into pieces by itself so I can't recommend the store. It's Lunashops though and they promised to send me a new one for free. We'll see.

Myself I wouldnt recommend Openheart cables. My Openheart cable has a peculiar like a sticky, almost vax-like surface on the cable, its a terrible material. It feels quite unpleasant to the touch. This is 8-core though.

20240317_074338.jpgOkay, good to know, i ordered one for a Sony MDR MV1.
Normally we don't touch the cable. So it will be not a big problem.

Could you please mention the brand/seller? I am looking for an aftermarket cable that’s easy to use around the house. Stock is usual Sennheiser stiff and heavy.

Open to any suggestion for an inexpensive possibly under $50 balanced 4.4mm cable.

if you are looking to save some money - these are looking like a pretty good value, I am waiting for mine, so can't comment on the quality though

I don't think I want to go for a tube amp without trying it first. Schiit also have very limited availability in Norway.

Appreciate the input. The K7 is almost twice the price of K11, so I'm having a hard time justifying the price difference. The K7 definitely seems more futureproof though.
It's exactly the reason I am suggesting K7, I hate the feeling of getting new headphones and being not sure if I don't like them or if dac/amp is not doing them justice

Appreciate all the suggestions. Thanks guys. Luckily I found a Hart balanced cable on classifieds, having previously owned couple of those It is exactly what I need.

I am absolutely enjoying the S2 for the last couple weeks. It is a very noticeable upgrade coming from 6XX with my library which is mostly metal, the separation and stage is exactly what I was missing with the 6xx.

Are there any portable dac/amp dongles that can easily drive the S2? Any favorites here? Looking for something with 4.4 balanced out.

I’m a big fan of the Cayin RU6. Is it perfectly transparent and neutral (some might say sterile) like something like the THX Onyx? No. But it more than makes up for it in overall musicality.

I am planning to test 6XX with AFUL SnowyNight in a couple of weeks. Since impedance is about the same and sensitivity is 1db higher - I assume if it can drive 6XX. then it can drive 660S2.

Questyle M15 powers them fine. And it is extremely neutral which the 660s2 really benefits from.

Edit for clarity.

This is good to hear. I like my 6XX's quite a bit. My S2's should arrive today and I'll spend the weekend giving them a proper break in.
