Exactly from here i bought the tubes, sellers are very serious!

Ordered the Yugoslavian 6HM5, let you guys know how they sound when they come it.
Already using the Russian power tubes so I'm excited to hear if they are an improvement over the already great sounding Voskhod with the HD600.

Good job, please let us know if you like it,i was amazed with the sound much better than Mullard,Voskhod, etc, natural, rich, almost neutral with just a hint of warm, sparkle highs!

I find the Voskhods quick with great impact and slam. Fantastic for hard rock or metal and not too bad on folk and fusion either.
They seem to have it all so I'm super curious to hear the Yugoslavian tube.

U also need external power supply capable of providing 5A current on 6.3V. IMO it's totaly worth it. To me it has the biggest impact on sound quality, alot more then driver tubes. I have little dot mkiv se and hd600.

Thank you for the reply. Much appreciated. Am I wrong to assume that the Yugo tubes link'd above are plug and play?

I prefer Voskhods and solid state Meier Jazz on the HD600.  I find the Ei tubes better with my Grado compared to the HD600.

The roll off and fatter sound that suits the Grado leaves the Senn sounding muffled. That's an exaggeration, but it's just to make a point.  Voskhods are crisp, clean, and solid while the 6HM5's have a thicker, more mid and bass-centric sound.

Subjective to be sure on individual preferences on whether that makes a pair of tubes "better" than another.

I hope your not right about the Yugo tubes, I just ordered a set and don't want anything muffled sounding! I love the Voskhods with the HD600 I tried some Svetlana driver tubes and went back to the Voskhods. They were good but not as good as the Voskhod.
I'll post some thoughts when the tubes arrive, maybe they would better with my DT880...?

HD600 sounds great through the Voskhods and still sound good with the Ei tubes.  For me tho, I prefer the crispness that the Russian tubes have over the fatty sound of the Yugos with HD600.

You might like the Ei over the Voskhod, I'm glad you're giving it a go to find out for yourself.

On my system EI don't sound muffled, lol, maybe your dac is not good enough, idk, ask all people on LD thread and they all gonna tell you the same thing,EI are just fantastic, crisp highs, with a little warmt wich is perfect for HD600 imoBtwI have Peachtree DacitX with sabre 9012 dac wich is analytical and revealing

I have a Maverick Audio D2 (all upgrades) & a Beresford Bushmaster MKII. Hope one of these plays nice with the EI tubes, if not no big deal the tubes were very inexpensive. I do run my LD MKIII from the Maverick DAC out of the SS output.
