Hey y'all this is my first post on here, though I've been occasionally lurking for the past month or so. I currently have a pair of the HD 280, and while I enjoy them, I think I want something better,but I really don't want to spend more than $150 and prefer less than that. I've noticed the following cans on Amazon and was wondering how much better they would be, i'm open to open or closed back cans. Sad to say i'm also partial to aesthetics so most of the other Sennheisers and Grado are out as i'm not a fan of most of their looks.
1. Audio Technica ATH-AD700 open back. less than $100.00 seems like a really good bang for buck for the price
2. Audio Technica ATH-A700 closed back, little over $100.00 also seems like a really good bang for buck.
3. AKG K271 MK II closed back around $150. hear lots of good things about AKG.
I think i'm leaning towards trying the AD700, but just wanted to get some thoughts. and should all of them be better than the HD280s?
i'm also open to any other suggestions as well thanks!!
