Just listen to some K701's for a few hours, then switch to the 650's, there will be more bass than you know what do do with.

Anyway I've been driving the phones with my Klipsch 4.1 desktop speakers, they have a built in amp, obviously not close to the quality of the headroom amp, but I have no clue what fuse to buy for the external power supply...

To everyone blaming my music, I listen to everything under the sun I have no preference. I do listen to a lot of electronic though. But then I'll put on Dead Can Dance, so I'm not gonna blame my music.

Maybe I should fix my amp and come back and tell you guys if I still don't like the bass... Anyone know what fuse to purchase? lol

Well turns out, its not the fuse...so for now its a big paper weight.

BUT!

Plugged it into my Pioneer VSX-9500S

And well, theres more bass.

Could use some more.

But yeah a lot better.

If you're looking for additional bass, maybe you could try some headphones with more emphasized bass. But yeah, most headphones that would emphasize on bass would sacrifice elsewhere in terms of the sound quality.

If you're willing to, I believe the DT770Pro or the Ultrasone Pro 900 would satisfy you in terms of bass. However, I guess they aren't the best sounding all around headphones as some people might put it. Others would disagree, but then again its all personal tastes. Maybe you can go to a store and try something such as these cans and see if it'll satisfy your craves. Yeah, as long as you're satisfied by something, it should be good.

i see, theres our answer then.
im not familiar the Pioneer VSX-9500S
but from my listening experience i've found the hd650
to be rather picky with amps.
amplifiers that have no apparent synergy with them
tend to make them sound dull and lifeless or 'veiled' to me.

and yes maybe you should, good luck with fixing it
