Headphoneus Supremus
When I removed them from my 535s I used a toothpick and just plucked it out but I had to destroy the fabric on the one I removed which was no problem because was replacing them
It's in there snug. I'll try tomorrow when I'm less stressed.Try a sturdy sewing needle. Jab the inside of the filter cylinder and use leverage against the top of the earphone nozzle to ease it up. I do it that way
I thought about it but HAVE NOT!
I don't want to make things worse

If I can ask, what would you do?Good lord please don’t do that. That will make things worse.
If I can ask, what would you do?
Any ideas would help.
Thanks again
Thank youI personally wouldn’t freeze them. Freezing to loosen a mechanical friction fit works best when both surfaces are metal (such as a bearing installed onto a transmission differential or into machined bearing race).
The T800 is acrylic resin, which will likely not shrink with freezing. Also, you risk damaging the fragile BA drivers. I wouldn’t do it.
If the stock tool doesn’t work, you can try a small 2.0mm coarse screw with the point ground off. That’s how I made my DIY damper tool. You can grab the screw with pliers once it’s screwed into the filter.
Here’s my post on the DIY tool:

Help please.
I have the Audiosense T800's and I have brown metal filters/dampers installed and one I just can't seem to remove it.
I have the tool but just can't get a good grip.
Any tips or tricks will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Thought about putting it in the freezer to shrink the metal and or even Super Glue.
I have the one in this pictureWhich tool do you have?
As @Slater confirmed, this won't work. Super glue could damage the drivers as well.
As far as tips/tricks I've removed and installed filters 3 different ways on my westones.
1. The cleaning tool was able to just get enough grip.
2. A 1/16" drill bit just fit into the damper. Angled so it catches the edge, slight outward pressure while pulling back.
3. Last and best way, was this tool I found off Aliexpress.

I did get the damper out this morning with advance from @Slater
Thanks
I will get the one you suggested
The trick that worked for me was to heat up the tool just a bit. This expanded the tool just enough to get a better grip I was able to pull it out almost all the way, then fearful of trying to grip it again with tool mite push back I used some specialty tweezers was able to remove a complete
Yep I'm gonna have to get the correct tool for sureThat etymotic tool didn't work for me. I had it but sold it.

Thank youWell that explains it.
Different filter, different tool. Not interchangeable.
Glad you got it sorted, friend
