I don't know where else to find the adaptors. For me, the sound with the ECC99's is open and lush. I find the stock tubes to be slightly darker, "harder" and they are not as exciting. From what I've gathered, this tube is safe to use for the circuit but I'm not sure about the tube life expectancy in this situation. They seem to be working and sounding good for now though, I've been enjoying them for the past few weeks. If there are any experts who can chime in here I would also like to know more about this.
I pair them with the JJ 6922's, which for me have the most laid back sound of the new 6922's (EH, Gold Lion, etc.) and I usually prefer them to the 12AU7's or 12AT7's in this amp because they are more clear (lower in distortion.)
Got my tube risers from the Pulse Tube Store. Now my tubes are almost completely above the top of the amp. Listening to the Avengers: Endgame score on my ZMF Aeolus. Sound is excellent.
I wonder when Schiit will introduce a Valhalla 3? If it has the continuity circuit, balanced topology and can be purchased for $350 - $400
I'd purchase one.

~ The enjoyment from using the Schiit Valhalla II as a preamplifier to the Flux Lab Acoustics FA-22 continues! The combination of the two is synergistic to my ears. Vacuum tube and solid-state strengths melded without perceivable weaknesses, in my estimation.
~ In the Valhalla II have been Mullard Gold 6201, Brimar CV455 (KB/FB), RFT ECC81, RFT ECC82, Tungsram E88CC, and currently Philips BEL E88CC. The sound signatures offered by these tubes are quite evident and enjoyable through the FA-22 and through a variety of headphones. All told, three h/p/a out of two h/p/a - and all are musically outstanding!
What did you think? I've been using a pair of Hifiman 5xx's with my Valhalla recently and they sound fine to me. No significant differences that I noticed when powered by the Valhalla or a 50wpc tube amp.

I ended up selling the valhalla2.... was fun experimenting with tubes, but I organically shifted to my magnius/modius stack. I think there is room for the Valhalla2 for the collector and experimenter, but for me, my tastes are largely pedestrian and I'm happy with my LCD-3/Mod/Mag stack.
Guys, I need your help. I have the Valhalla 2 + Ifi Zen Dac V2 with HD 650.
While it sounds great, more soundstage, little bit warmer than directly using the Ifi Zen Dac V2, I don't hear a "huge" improvement over the Ifi zen dac v2. These are relatively new, maybe used for 10 hours (both the amp and HD 650, with stock tubes). Do they need time to open up? Or is this all I should expect from the amp? Thanks

If you are using the Ifi Zen DAC V2 as an amp / Valhalla 2 as preamp, you should expect a noticeable - not ‘huge’ - improvement versus the Zen DAC alone. Upgrading tubes will get more improvement: Foton 6N6P (rear) / Tungsram E88CC (front).

I haven’t thought about that. Could you please guide me on how to make the connection? Also, using the Valhalla as a preamp, does it mean the zen dac has more power output?
